Angela & AJ - Lake Ritchie Bealeton, VA Photography by Jennifer Beall
Hey guys! As you know we just shot our first wedding on May 20th with the fabulous Brown's! It was a gorgeous day to have a wedding no rain, temperature just right and a little clouds.
If there is two people in this world that is meant to be together it is Angela & AJ. We were beside ourselves when they chose us to capture their magical day! Angela took a leap of faith and trusted us to make it special and memorable! Oh boy did we make it memorable! haha... That comes later ;)
Angela and AJ met in middle school from a mutual friend- ended up taking separate paths in life until one day he messaged her on Facebook- 3 days later they met up and have been inseparable ever since! AJ threw Angela a SURPRISE 30th party and during the party he proposed to her!! How amazing with all her friends and family there! Which brings us to their wedding day.....
Their wedding had so many sentimental treasures through out the day that melted my heart. The morning of Angela's sister Lauren gave Angela a handkerchief that was embroidered with her fathers writing and signed by Lauren with their fathers name (Hearts strings heavily pulled). Her necklace she wore was her grandmothers pearls and attached to the back of the pearls was a locket of her mother and father on their wedding day and photo of her father Lee. The hair barrette she wore was made from a piece of her mothers wedding dress. <3 For AJ he was so excited to finally be able to open his new cologne that was purchased specially for their day- from Saks Fifth Ave that has a funny story behind that as well.
The details to their wedding was on point and done personally by the bride- she took her time and made each and every chalkboard sign, painted the corn hole boards her friend made the vinyl's for them, her sister and her prepared each centerpiece, she had a tribute to her father Lee with a photo of Angela and him with a sign asking everyone to take a shot in honor of Lee- lets just say nothing was missing from their wedding!
Everyone was so amazing all of their family and friends- especially Angela & AJ- so I told you we made their day memorable so here it goes....haha- Angela & AJ chose to do a first look before their ceremony while we were capturing the fun, friends and their photos...... my husband Eric my second shooter asked one of her friends to pose for a photo she then sat the 3 wine glasses down she had in hand- after a few photos being captured he backed up not knowing where she sat down the glasses... one... two... and three all crushed and stepped on the final one leaving the stem of it inside my husbands foot!! YESSS... fully through his shoe... How in the world does something like this happen? And on our FIRST WEDDING... So making their day memorable is an understatement hahaha... Despite the shock, the rushing to the ER by their friend Erica, the show must go on and it did... Angela and AJ couldn't of been more understanding and cheered me on that we got this and the photos will be perfect!
The ceremony was heartfelt- her uncle gave her away, her brother officiated the ceremony, her best friend read a scripture, and AJ had the whole wedding party laughing from his "Selfishly" vows. haha... At the reception- her sister the maid of honor wrote a speech that had not one dry eye in the crowd- ring bearer Finlee had words of wisdom, and lets just say this wedding party knew how to throw one heck of a party! :)
I laughed, I cried and I had a blast with this couple and their friends and family. This will be one wedding I will never forget ;)
Angela & AJ I wish many years of happiness for the two of you!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Brown!
